What is GAIN?
GAIN is a 4 month dual Vocational Education Training for young graduates from less privileged socio-economic backgrounds. The pioneer program raises the bar for the implementation of dual education in India.
Who is behind GAIN?
The program has been developed by the German non-profit organization TESI (Talent Education Stiftung International) which was founded by the HR professional and business woman Barbara Hunz who successfully runs a placement and interim management company based in Cologne. GAIN will be implemented in Pune together with the local NGO "New Vision" as one of various Parineeti Projects. TESI is collaborating with the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK Pune) for certifying the course according to the German system of dual education under DUALpro.
Why GAIN?
India is facing high unemployment rates especially among educated youth due to a failing, highly theoretical education system. The lack of practical skills leads to low employability of job-seekers whereby the demand from companies for qualified workforce is not matched. GAIN offers young adults an "earn & learn" concept based on a European approach of skill-based training, strong work ethic and comprehensive education. Hence GAIN…
• Develops students’ soft skills
• Makes youths employable
• Gives students practical work experience
• Allows students to earn during training
• Provides companies with trained and motivated interns
GAIN will pave a new way of knowledge transfer which will benefit companies as well as graduates.
